A place to coordinate coding agents across a project
Google Antigravity extends coding assistance beyond a single chat panel. Its 2.0 desktop command centre groups conversations into Projects and supports work across multiple local workspaces. The CLI provides a terminal interface, while the standalone IDE and editor extensions bring agents closer to code. This gives developers several ways to organise development tasks, follow agent activity and review the changes produced.
The product’s agent features include development tools, artifacts and reusable context. Worktrees support separate changes within a repository, and Remote Control makes an existing session accessible through a browser. A Python SDK serves developers building their own agent applications. These surfaces have different capabilities: for example, Google Cloud enterprise integration supports 2.0, the CLI and eligible IDE extensions, but currently excludes the standalone Antigravity IDE.
Free individual access provides a useful starting point, with agent capacity refreshed weekly. Google AI Pro and Ultra increase capacity, but complex tasks consume more of the allowance and model access depends on the tier. Purchased or promotional credits can cover eligible overages when enabled. Business access instead uses Google Cloud arrangements. Permissions and data handling are equally account-specific: the macOS/Linux Default preset uses a terminal sandbox, Windows has a separate implementation, and consumer interaction-data preferences are distinct from enterprise Cloud terms.
Best for
- Developers coordinating agent work across repositories
- Developers combining a terminal with supported IDEs
- Teams using an eligible Google Cloud business setup
Limitations
Agent capacity is limited even where completions and Command requests are unlimited. Model access and retirement dates vary by plan, and overages can consume paid credits. Permissions differ by operating system and settings. Consumer interactions can be used for service improvement unless the preference is changed; business terms differ.

Is Google Antigravity free?
Individual access costs USD 0 and includes basic weekly agent limits. Unlimited Tab completions and Command requests are separate from agent-task capacity. Google AI Pro and Ultra increase limits.
How much does Google Antigravity cost?
Paid individual access is part of an eligible Google AI subscription. Google One’s public US offer lists Pro at USD 19.99 monthly or USD 199.99 annually and Ultra from USD 99.99 monthly. Regional offers differ, and overage usage or business consumption can add charges.
Can a business use Antigravity?
Yes. Eligible Google Cloud and Gemini Enterprise arrangements support Antigravity 2.0, the CLI and eligible IDE extensions. The standalone Antigravity IDE is currently excluded from enterprise integration. Subscription and consumption terms depend on the selected business route.
Does Antigravity require approval before commands?
That depends on the operating system, permission preset and rules. On macOS/Linux, the Default preset lets commands run inside its sandbox and generally asks before running outside it. Windows uses a separate permission implementation. Broader presets or explicit rules can permit more actions.
