Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform is Google Cloud’s developer platform for building, deploying and operating AI agents. Agent Studio, the Agent Development Kit and managed runtime services connect models, tools and enterprise data. The platform also includes evaluation and governance services for technical teams running agents beyond a local prototype.

Take agent applications from development to cloud deployment
Agent Platform brings Google Cloud’s agent and model services into one technical platform. Model Garden provides model selection, while development tools connect those models with company data and callable tools. The platform is distinct from the employee-facing Gemini Enterprise app.
Agent Studio’s agent-design feature is in preview. It combines prompt-based design, a visual flow view, interactive previews and Python code export. Local agents and registered remote agents can participate in the flow. Agent configurations currently use the us-west1 region, which matters for organizations with regional restrictions.
ADK provides a code-based route to agent applications and multi-agent orchestration. Developers can inspect execution, evaluate behavior and choose a deployment target, including managed Agent Runtime, Cloud Run or GKE. Running ADK locally is different from buying managed cloud runtime capacity.
Access and human review are separate concerns. Cloud IAM controls service identity and access to resources. ADK’s experimental tool confirmation adds configured review pauses, but its documented session-service limitations need to be considered when building a deployed application.

Limitations
This is a developer cloud platform with usage-based billing. Free resource allocations do not cover every model or service. Agent Studio agent design is in preview and currently stores agent configurations in us-west1. ADK tool confirmation is experimental and excludes two documented session services. Production applications need their own permissions, deployment and cost configuration.

Is Agent Platform the same as the Gemini Enterprise app?
No. Agent Platform is the technical development and runtime platform. The Gemini Enterprise app is a separate employee-facing experience that can use connected agents.
Is Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform free?
Some agent resources have monthly free allocations, and eligible new customers can receive shared Cloud trial credits. Model inference and additional resource or service use can still be billed.
Can I build agents visually?
Yes. The Agent Studio agent-design feature offers prompt and visual flow tools, interactive preview and Python export. That feature is currently in preview.
Does ADK provide human approval?
ADK has experimental tool confirmation for configured tools. The documentation excludes DatabaseSessionService and VertexAiSessionService, so support depends on the application’s session setup.
