AI-assisted website design with business features built in
Wix brings website creation, page editing and hosting together with apps for running a business online. Its Harmony editor combines natural-language requests with familiar visual controls. Aria can create pages and sections, adjust layout and styling, rewrite copy and generate or modify images. Site owners can then work directly on the design, rather than asking the assistant to make every small change. This makes it a useful option for portfolios, service businesses and stores that need an editable website without maintaining their own hosting environment.
The choice of editor matters. Harmony is a particular Wix creation environment, with its own supported features and apps. It does not support custom code, Velo or the Wix JavaScript SDK, and Wix Blocks apps are incompatible with it. Wix Studio and the classic Wix Editor provide other development options, but those capabilities should not be assumed to exist inside Harmony. Aria operates in the desktop view of the editor; the mobile layout is edited separately. A website that visitors can open on a phone is different from having the full Harmony editing experience in a mobile app.
Wix’s paid plans add custom-domain publishing and remove platform branding. Core and higher tiers add payment and commerce capabilities, with storage and collaborator allowances increasing through the range. Hosting remains part of the platform: a finished Wix site cannot be exported to run independently on another provider. The attraction is the combination of website design and managed business services; the tradeoff is dependence on Wix for the live site and on the chosen editor for development flexibility.

Limitations

Is Wix free?
Yes. Wix supports free websites with a Wix address and branding. Paid website plans add a custom domain, remove branding and provide larger allowances or business features.
Can I add custom code to Wix Harmony?
No. Harmony does not support Velo, the Wix JavaScript SDK or custom code. Wix Studio and the classic Wix Editor are separate options for projects that need those capabilities.
Can I move a Wix website to another host?
A Wix website must remain on Wix hosting. A domain can be registered elsewhere and connected to a paid Wix site, but that does not export the website.
Does Aria edit the mobile version automatically?
Aria works in the desktop editor view. Changes to the mobile layout require editing that view separately; Harmony itself is not supported in the Wix mobile app.
