Song ideas you can customize and release
Boomy starts with a musical style and custom composition settings, then produces song options to save or refine. Its styles include electronic dance, rap beats, lo-fi, global groove, relaxing meditation and experimental music. This provides an accessible starting point for creators developing an idea without arranging every instrument from scratch.
Instrument editing differs by membership. Free users can re-roll groups of instruments, while Creator and Pro allow individual replacements. Auto Vocals builds vocal lines from a short audio phrase rather than a written lyric prompt. A recording or WAV upload must contain your own voice or music. The feature is a way to develop original vocal material alongside the generated instrumental.
Commercial rights attach to songs downloaded during a Creator or Pro subscription and continue after cancellation. Boomy now permits an external distributor of your choice, replacing its earlier exclusive distribution arrangement. Default copyright remains with Boomy; a separate buyout request is possible. A commercial licence should therefore be distinguished from owning the composition.
Best for
- Musicians exploring generated song ideas
- Creators adding their own vocal material
- Artists releasing eligible downloaded tracks through their chosen distributor
Limitations
Free has no downloads or commercial use. Commercial rights apply to eligible paid downloads, not every saved song. Boomy retains default copyright. Auto Vocals accepts your own voice or music. Promotional renewal terms need confirmation.
